My (obtainable) White Whale:  BF3 Pennant of Henry "Hank" Meyer, Chicago Cubs

UPDATE:  FOUND 7-13-21!!!

Henry and I became friends through phone calls and letters when I was researching my first book on baseball in Eau Claire.  He played here in 1936 and was the last link to a bygone era.  I found out the pennant existed a few years back and told Henry about it and was finally able to acquire one very cheaply in late 2014.  A few months later I sent it to him.  He called me one night while I was at my son's basketball game.  I considered sending it to voicemail, but instead found a quiet hallway to have a wonderful conversation.  He thanked me profusely and we made plans to meet in the summer.  But a couple of weeks later, I received a phone call from his son...Henry had passed away.  The pennant, something he didn't know existed for nearly 80 years and in his possession for just a few days, is now a family heirloom and I couldn't be happier.  However, I would like to have another one to hang on my wall in honor of my friend.
